Major Lazer enrolls new generation of South African and Nigerian artists on new Afrobeats Mix


If Major Lazer are first known for their massive beats inspired by dancehall and Jamaican reggae, Diplo, Jillionaire, Walshy Fire are also passionate about the music played in the streets and clubs of Africa with all the afrobeats scene that explodes since these last years. To announce the color of its mini tour on the African continent that begins at the end of the month, the trio has released a mix of 30mn / 17 tracks, featuring the new generation of artists from Nigeria, Ethiopia, South Africa and more, such as Burna Boy, Davido, Mr Eazi, Nasty C or Dj Maphorisa.

Afrobeats (DJ Mix) is available on streaming platforms via Diplo’s label, Mad Decent. It is a party mix from start to finish with Afrohouse infusion, Gqom, Dancehall and African Hip Hop.
