The Dreamville team founded by J. Cole in 2007 is probably one of the most creative and interesting collectives for Hip Hop enthusiasts, much like the TDE crew with Kendrick Lamar, SchoolBoy Q, and others.
For more than 10 years now, Dreamville’s releases have always been a “safe bet” with new artists like JID, Ari Lennox and Bas, incredible solo projects from the different members of the label, and a series of epic compilations entitled Revenge Of The Dreamers. For the 3rd chapter of ROTD precisely, J. Cole saw the big picture: in addition to gathering all the artists of the label like Bas, JID, Ari Lennox, Cozz, Lute, EarthGang, Omen and Elite, he invited a large number of lucrative guests including TI, Kendrick Lamar, Young Nudy, DaBaby, Maxo Kream, Key !, Guapdad 4000, Baby Rose, Jace, Buddy, Smino, Vince Staples, Ty Dolla $ign, Mereba or Dreezy.
Everyone is present on the 18 tracks of the compilation which is titled Revenge of The Dreamers III, but the documentary that accompanies the release of the body of work reveals that in fact more than 100 artists and countless producers would have been in the studio during the recording sessions. These would include A Boogie Hoodie wit, AKon, DJ Khaled, HER, Ludacris, Meek Mill, Mike Will Made It, No ID, Rick Ross, Scott Storch, Swizz Beatz, Gunn Westside, Young MA, 6LACK or 9th Wonder.
So fans should look forward to some huge new releases coming in the next few years at Dreamville!
